Converting WebP to JPG

This page is the WebP to JPG setting of our converter, with JPG already chosen. Drop a WebP file in and the result comes back as JPG — no account, no queue, and no watermark on the output.

The conversion runs entirely inside your browser tab. Your file is read into memory on your own machine, converted there, and handed straight back. Nothing is uploaded, which means there is no size limit imposed by someone else's bandwidth and no copy of your file sitting on a server after you close the tab.

What is WebP?

Google's web format. Roughly 25–35% smaller than an equivalent JPG, supports transparency, and is read by every current browser — but plenty of desktop software still cannot open one.

What is JPG?

The oldest and most universally supported photo format. Lossy, no transparency, and it degrades a little every time it is re-saved.

What changes in this conversion

WebP can store transparency and JPG cannot, so any transparent areas are filled with white before encoding. Without that step they would come out black.

Is it really free?

Yes, and there is no catch to explain. Because the work happens on your device rather than on a server, running this costs us nothing per conversion — so there is no bill to recover and nothing to gate behind a sign-up, a daily quota or a watermark.
